Celebrating Mother’s Day
As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s time to celebrate the special bond between a mother and her child(s). While gifts and gestures are awesome, what truly makes Mother’s Day memorable are the memories created. This Mother’s Day, why not make it extra special by spending quality time with your child, indulging in delightful activities, and capturing professionally those precious moments to cherish forever?
A few times a year, I try to set up a photoshoot with my son. Last year, I didn’t get any photos of us on Mother’s day so I decided it was time to capture more memories and this is what we did.
We set up a photoshoot, we picked a place, and dressed up to look nice.
I mean, what better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than by going on a special date with your child and having your photos professionally taken? These photos will serve as timeless mementos, evoking cherished memories whenever you glance upon them.
Whether you choose to have a picnic in the park, go to the zoo or simply enjoying a favorite activity together, the key is to focus on spending quality time with your little one.
As moms we are always putting our family and others first. I wanted to do something for myself that my son could also enjoy and I introduced him to afternoon tea time. He loved it! It was nothing fancy, just a table and an assortment of sweet treats from Henriette Desserts and flowers from Kerlidy. We bonded over delicious delicacies and relished in each other’s company.
Once I had captured those precious moments, I rushed to edit them and get them printed. I chose my favorite photos from the photoshoot and have them printed and framed to adorn my walls. I like to have small photos (4×6) in gold frames to add in my office, but we printed some in big ones to gift to his grandmothers.
Every glance at these framed memories will serve as a heartwarming reminder of the love you share with your child and the joyous moments you’ve experienced together.
