You’ve scheduled your engagement photoshoot and the date is getting closer. Are you starting to feel some butterflies? Perfect. Are you starting to get cold feet? Don’t worry! You will have nothing but so much fun! A little bit of info can go a long way to putting you at ease. Here are 5 of the most important things you can expect during your engagement photoshoot.
You might feel a bit stiff at first, but don’t worry! I will help you feel comfortable in no time. I am super easy going and I adapt to each couple I work with to help put them at ease. I am the lucky one who gets to photograph your wedding, and I want to make sure you enjoy every minute of your engagement photoshoot! I will tell you my best jokes and, in the end, you will forget I am here taking photos.
I know what it’s like to feel camera shy – trust me, when it’s my turn in front of the camera, I freeze too. That’s how I know it is so important for the couple to set the tone for the shoot. When you look back at these photos, I want you to see yourself at your very best.
My job as a wedding photographer is to make you feel comfortable. Here are some helpful pointers when you’re in front of the camera.
It will take about 5 minutes for you to see that an engagement photoshoot isn’t anymore complicated than a nice walk with a friend… that just happens to be a wedding photographer. For real! We will chat, dance, walk and laugh. In the end, you will forget about any hesitations you might have had and just be yourself. And guess what?! This is when the magic happens.
When I take photos of my clients, I have a tendency to comment on what I see. It often sounds like “you guys look amazing!” because you really do! Don’t feel shy about it! You can trust that I will give you all of the feedback you will need. And if you’re in the mood, strike a pose!
As the engagement photoshoot moves along, you feel more and more comfortable. I get to capture who you really are and show the love and connection between the two of you. What could be more glamorous than that?
Sometimes during the shoot, I can give you sneak peak of the photos from the back of my camera. But the real surprise is when I deliver the fully edited photos.
You can expect to receive them in an online gallery within two weeks. They will be ready to download and share everywhere! Don’t forget to tag me! I love to see your friends’ and family’s reactions.
I always suggest that my clients print their photos. They are too precious to stay tucked away on a phone or a computer. You will also be able to use them on save the date invitations, personalized guest books and decor for your wedding. If you need assistance with this, or anything else, I am here to help.
My goal after our time together is that you go home feeling like you rocked your engagement session. I want you to embrace your wedding day with confidence and ease. Now that you have an engagement session under your belt, the photography on your wedding day will be a piece of cake.
