Anna and Josh came all the way from New York for a little romantic getaway in Montreal, and I absolutely loved being a part of their couple photo session in Montreal which happened to be also their engagement photos! Anna went a few times in Montreal before with her family so the city always held a special place in her heart. Because of this, Montreal felt like the perfect spot to capture some memories before their big day.

We met at their hotel and spent an hour wandering around Old Montreal, chatting about how they met and how wedding planning was going and of course snapping some amazing photos. They told me how they saw their trip as a mini escape—a chance to reconnect and unwind before the stress of the wedding took over. Honestly, what a fantastic idea! It’s the perfect way to enjoy each other’s company and reset before the big day.

For their photos, they wanted a lot of Montreal’s European architecture in the background while keeping the vibe of the city alive. I had planned a custom itinerary before our shoot to make sure it matched their vision. We ended up stumbling upon a cute little café where they kindly let us take a few photos inside—such a perfect moment! Anna shared how thrilled she was with the photos I showed her on the back of my camera. She even invited me to their wedding, which was honestly such a sweet gesture!

When Anna posted one of the photos, she said, “Obsessed with our Montreal photoshoot,” and it just made my heart melt.
